Western Schizophrenia — Fear, Guilt, and the Psychology of Power

We’ve all heard a lot about “White Guilt”, but I would like to talk about WESTERN SCHIZOPHRENIA. That is, the fear that the West has, beyond boundaries of paranoia, that “the other”–whether “savages” or “commies” or “terrorists”, or Brown and Black “thugs”–will do to them what they did to those “others”. This morbid fear, is produced by the contradiction between some level of awareness and recognition of their atrocity-filled history, contradicted by conscience, negated by sinful pride and selfish interests.
As the wise old Yoda once said: “fear leads to anger, anger to hate, hate to evil”. And this rings true of Western Schizophrenia which, as a result of its fear of the other, comes to hate the other, whether consciously and/or subconsciously. This is the most fundamental root of all atrocities continually committed against us, who belong to one or another of these “Other” groups. It is a social sickness, a literal mental illness, that grips those who belong to identify as White Westerners, and members of the privileged classes, generally-speaking, to include some members of those “other” groups who may look like, identify with, and speak the language of, the dominant class.
