New opportunities can be a grand adventure. Sometimes you discover that “new” has become confusing, disappointing and painful. It may feel hard to keep going.
Other times, change chooses us. People we care about become ill, distant or die. We experience change through our own illness, loss or the natural progression of life. Change can disrupt our lives in ways that we never expect.
Sometimes our life choices awaken old hurts or interrupt our ability to be present with our family or our work. Anxiety and depression can be a natural result of becoming so disconnected from ourselves.
I am familiar with the disruption that transition can bring to life and I want to help. You can suffer less, feel less isolated and distressed. Together, we can develop new ways to cope with where you are now. You can feel better. You can grow.
I am dedicated to helping you manage the turmoil and grief and help you find ways to be fully yourself in life.
I focus on treatment options supported by research. Some of these include Attachment based therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy and supportive counseling techniques.
