Meet one on one to explore your individual concerns and see how you can address what isn’t working, reconnect with yourself and commit to a life that is more fulfilling, In individual therapy our focus is on how you are feeling, thinking and behaving. We will explore how each of these aspects of daily life works for against you in meeting your goals.
Together we look at how your biology, your environment and history (including trauma) and your individual way of viewing the world affects your functioning today.
I emphasize self-compassion, emotional regulation and connection. We typically meet weekly for a period of time, depending on the concern that we are addressing.
Meet one on one to explore your individual cBeing in relationship is a journey you take with another. In counseling, you and your partner can have a safe space to talk openly and explore how our patterns get us stuck in relation to our most important people.
We will work on new ways to travel this journey together, I practice Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, a highly researched process which involves improving the emotional connection between two people. Rather than teaching skills, I focus on how good humans who want connection, find themselves in unhelpful patterns with their most significant other.
I work with couples who are wanting to stay together, wanting to discern whether or not to stay together, and who are wanting to co-parent effectively after divorce.
Group is a place to begin to feel at home with others, a safe place to tell your story or practice a new way of being. Group therapy offers its members a community that supports getting to know the real you and who values the changes that help you get there, In group therapy you have the opportunity to heal within a community. This group is focused on learning to share our story with others and to hear their story as well.
The value of sharing in a safe community is well documented and offers us a chance to learn about ourselves through interaction with other humans. We commit to meeting regularly over the course of 3 months and members can continue to commit to group on an ongoing basis.
All members are charged for their spot in the group monthly. Typical group size ranges from 4 to 8 members with one leader and group norms are established together to create safety.
